Jennifer

Hello, my name is Jennifer.

I am a qualified person-centred counsellor, and registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), and work within their ethical framework.

My primary modality is person-centred therapy, however; I have knowledge of other types of therapy that can be drawn on to suit each client’s individual needs.

I believe that the therapeutic relationship between the client and counsellor is key. I offer a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental environment, where you can feel free to explore whatever maybe troubling you.

Prior to becoming a counsellor, I have worked providing support and education, both within the health and education sector. I have experience working with children who have special educational needs (SEN), and vulnerable adults and children.

During my counselling placement, I gained experience supporting individuals with a variety of presenting issues such as Anxiety, Depression, Bereavement, Stress, Low self-esteem, Panic Disorders, Trauma, OCD, Intrusive Thoughts, Suicidal Thoughts, Relationship issues to name a few.

I am passionate about personal and professional growth and have a strong commitment to continuing professional development. Some recent training and areas of interest includes – CBT Diploma, relational depth, online counselling (OU/BACP), trauma, C-PTSD, childhood sexual abuse. I attend regular supervision to ensure my practice is safe.

I offer video and telephone counselling.
