Charlotte
Hi, I’m Charlotte.
I’m a qualified Counsellor/Psychotherapist with a master’s degree in Integrative Counselling and a First-Class Honours degree in Psychology. I am a registered member MBACP of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and an Accredited Registrant MNCPS (Acc.) of The National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS). I am strongly committed to upholding the principles of their Ethical Framework’s and I am dedicated to continual professional development and supervision.
I offer a warm, gentle, safe, and confidential space where we can explore and understand what is currently going on for you. I feel that building a strong therapeutic relationship between us is essential so that you feel comfortable in our sessions.
My approach is Integrative, meaning I adapt my counselling approach depending on your unique and individual needs. I will use a range of different counselling techniques if I feel they are right for you, and I aim for us to work collaboratively to achieve your goals.
I consider myself to have a caring, empathic nature. I am approachable, non-judgemental and a very good listener. I am humanistic, meaning I believe that you are the expert in your own life, with the innate capacity for growth and change. Sometimes, we all need a compassionate and supportive presence to help us navigate the path forward.
My role is to walk alongside you with support and encouragement as you navigate your own unique path. What matters to you truly matters to me - I’m here to help you through the challenges and to celebrate your growth as it unfolds. I believe therapy should be a space that empowers you. While life can be deeply challenging, the right support can help you discover strength, clarity, and practical tools to move forward.
My experience has involved supporting clients both short term and long term. I have supported clients struggling with a wide variety of issues including, but not exclusive to, anxiety, depression, work related stress, infertility and miscarriage, relationship difficulties, parenting difficulties, and chronic illness.
I offer face to face appointments in our Leeds office, as well as online and telephone sessions, whichever feels right for you. I look forward to supporting you on your journey.
