Charlotte

Hello my name is Charlotte and I am a trainee counsellor.

I have obtained a First-Class Honours degree in Psychology with Counselling at the University of Huddersfield and I am currently studying for my Master’s degree in Integrative Counselling at Leeds Beckett University. I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I follow the BACP Ethical Framework.

I consider myself to have a caring, empathic nature. I am approachable, non-judgemental and a very good listener. I have always wanted to work in a profession where I could help people as I take huge joy in this; I believe working as a counsellor supporting people with their mental health allows me to do this.

My counselling approach is Integrative however I largely use Person-Centred Counselling as a starting point. I feel that building a strong therapeutic relationship between us is essential so that you feel comfortable in our sessions. I offer a warm, gentle, safe and confidential space where we can explore and understand what is currently going on for you. The integrative approach means that I adapt my counselling approach depending on the clients’ unique and individual needs. I will use a range of different counselling techniques if I feel they are right for you and we will aspire to achieve the best outcome.

I am very flexible and I am happy to offer counselling face to face or online. I look forward to helping and supporting you throughout your journey.
