Jessica

Hello, my name is Jessica and I’m trained in person centred Humanistic counselling as well as solution focused counselling. I feel that I am an outgoing and positive person who is dedicated to achieving my potential and encouraging others around me to do the same.

Person-centred counselling is a client led therapy which enables me to give my clients autonomy and the ability to lead and play an active role in the session which I believe is an important part of counselling. I also have a Psychology degree which gave me the knowledge of human development and theories which I use in my work.

I have also had experience working in the volunteer sector with adults and children with learning disabilities in a sports setting. Other volunteer work I have been involved in is working on improving student wellbeing, this experience gave me insight into student wellbeing, mental health and the importance of counselling in educational settings. I have worked with a wide range of ages and clients with different issues such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship issues and more. My aim as a counsellor is to work with my clients to help them gain self-awareness and encourage self-development.
